JOB DESCRIPTION

About Agilis

Agilis builds the digital and AI foundation the chemical industry runs on.

Chemical suppliers sit on decades of product, customer, supplier data and documents scattered across multiple ERPs, spreadsheets, and shared drives. That fragmentation slows commercial teams down, frustrates customers, and quietly breaks every AI initiative built on top of it. As our founder and CEO put it recently: weak master data used to just slow a team down; now it produces confident, wrong answers at scale.

We fix the foundation and then activate it. Our platform — Agilis MDM, ionicPIM, the Alchemist Virtual Chemist, and our Customer Engagement and Transaction suites — sits on top of existing ERPs and CRMs as a unifying layer, so systems of record stay intact while master data gets cleaned, governed, and put to work for growth, efficiency, and practical AI.

Founded in 2018 and built by people who spent their careers in chemicals, we work with leading global producers and distributors. Today we're live in 50+ countries and growing fast! We're looking for talented individuals who want to be at the front of AI adoption in a 200-year-old industry.

The Role

As Strategic Accounts Leader, you'll own our most important global relationships — a growing portfolio of chemical producers and distributors where the opportunity is immense, but it may start with a small pilot project. You'll win new enterprise logos and, just as importantly, turn early deployments into enterprise-wide platforms.

Reporting directly to the CEO, this is a critical role in the Agilis organization. Our customers are global, federated organizations: a first project might start with one business unit or one module of the Agilis platform in one region, but the real opportunity is in scaling that engagement to global enterprise level with multiple regions, business units or functions. Your job is to map that terrain, build relationships across it — from the data stewards who use the platform daily to the executives who fund it — and convert delivered value into expansion.

You'll work in close partnership with our delivery and product teams. Because we implement directly, with no systems integrators in between, you'll have unusually direct visibility into what's working in each account and unusual influence over what we build next.

What You'll Do

  • Own a revenue number across a defined portfolio of global strategic accounts, covering both new business and expansion
  • Identify and prospect target global producers and distributors, and lead the pursuit of new enterprise customers
  • Build and maintain multi-threaded relationships across each account — commercial, digital, IT, regulatory, and executive sponsors — in multiple regions and business units
  • Develop account plans that map the full opportunity landscape: which units, which use cases, which sequence, and what it's worth
  • Run executive business reviews that tie delivered outcomes back to the business case and open the next conversation
  • Partner with delivery and customer success to ensure deployments land well, and step in early when adoption stalls
  • Build expansion cases and ROI models for new use cases, regions, and business units, and close them
  • Secure renewals and protect the base by staying ahead of changes in stakeholders, priorities, and budget cycles
  • Serve as the voice of your accounts internally, feeding roadmap input to product and market insight to marketing
  • Keep CRM hygiene, account plans, and forecasts accurate and current

What You'll Bring

Required

  • 8+ years in enterprise software sales, strategic/global account management, or key account leadership — ideally serving chemicals, materials, or industrial manufacturing — or deep commercial experience inside the chemical industry with a track record of owning major accounts
  • Demonstrated success growing enterprise accounts substantially over multiple years, not just closing initial deals
  • Experience selling and expanding within large, matrixed, multi-region organizations where the buying center differs by business unit
  • Executive presence and credibility with senior stakeholders, alongside the patience to build trust at working level
  • Comfort moving between business/commercial and IT audiences, and translating between them
  • Strong commercial instincts: building business cases, negotiating multi-year agreements, and defending value
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Bachelor's degree in business, chemistry, chemical engineering, or a related field
  • Willingness to travel internationally for customer meetings and industry conferences (roughly 20%)

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with master data management, PIM, e-commerce, or data governance concepts
  • An existing network among global chemical producers or distributors in North America and Europe
  • Experience selling AI-enabled or data platform products
  • Experience with land-and-expand motions in platform businesses
  • Experience in an early- or growth-stage company that relies on the team's resourcefulness and entrepreneurship

Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive salary with attractive bonus and equity options
  • Comprehensive health benefits and other perks
  • Growth opportunities in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Collaborative, no-bureaucracy culture
  • Flexible working hours and location
